From Streets to skills; The Global Innovative Vocational Education story
Global Innovative Vocational Education’s inception three years ago was marked by a profound act of compassion; This endeavor, rooted in the spirit of giving, brought together various organizations to support homeless children. However, it sparked a realization that providing temporary relief was not enough; sustainable change required equipping these children with the tools to create their own futures.
The Street Project, a cornerstone of GIVE’s efforts, tackles the pressing issue of child hunger and malnutrition. Launched in October 2023, this initiative is a direct response to the alarming rates of food insecurity among street children. Recognizing the immediate need for nutritious meals, GIVE collaborates with local businesses to gather food packs for distribution. By providing essential nutrition to those most in need, the Street Project not only addresses hunger but also contributes to a future where all children have access to healthy food.
Complementing the Street Project is the Future Fit initiative, launched during the Noel Love Triangle 2023. This innovative program aims to equip underprivileged children, particularly those in orphanages, with practical skills to secure stable income sources. Through training in trades such as key holder making, bag making, and recycling, Future Fit empowers children to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for themselves. Aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 8, which promotes decent work and economic growth, Future Fit represents a crucial step towards creating economic opportunities for vulnerable youth.
In addition to addressing immediate needs, GIVE’s initiatives also prioritize holistic well-being and happiness. The Noel Love Triangle initiative, for example, brings joy and excitement to the lives of children in need, especially during the festive season. By granting personalized gift wishes to at least 100 children, GIVE spreads cheer and shares the message of love and hope, making a meaningful impact on their lives.
Through these initiatives, GIVE remains steadfast in its commitment to providing essential healthcare, nutrition, and educational support to underprivileged children.
